Excelsior is a Latin adjective meaning "higher" or "loftier", used in English as an interjection with a poetic meaning of "ever upward". Our jersey design seeks to scale these lofty heights proudly displaying the art deco winged man holding the globe aloft. Excelsior was a small company originally located in Brandenburg. The company moved to Gerstetten during WWII to escape the fighting in Eastern Germany. The company produced bikes until the early 50’s.
