NASA cycling jersey review:
Where does one start with the short sleeve NASA jersey? I'll begin with the technical review and end with the social review (which is hopefully more useful). The jersey fits snugly, with close fitting sleeves and very little bunching on the chest. I am 5'6" 140 lbs and the medium fits perfectly. The full length zip makes it easy to put on and open up for more ventilation during harder sessions. The collar is high, but not too high nor too tight, providing a nice snug fit without being constricting. The fabric is lightweight and very durable, I haven't had any snags or pulls. The fabric is also breathable but more importantly it wicks sweat away quickly keeping you dry and cool. It's everything I expect from a high quality jersey.
Now the fun part of the review. Wearing a NASA jersey around the Norfolk and Cambridgeshire countryside is brilliant. I've yet to find a better icebreaker when meeting up with other riders than wearing a big NASA logo on the front and back of my top. I've actually been stopped by half a dozen people as I leave train stations asking where I picked up the jersey. As a peripatetic music teacher my students love it when I walk in wearing it. Even drivers politely wave when they see NASA coming towards them. I found Retro Image Apparel while looking for "novelty cycling jerseys" and am glad I did. Cycling can be a social sport and wearing a fun jerseys is an easy way to start a conversation.
